<description>We might be interested in emergency psychiatric evaluations. We seldom need one of these, but we do occasionally have students who proclaim they are suicidal, and since we&#039;re a residential liberal arts university, we are very concerned for safety. We usually require these students to receive an outside evaluation from a psychiatrist prior to being allowed to return to campus for their safety and ours. This is difficult to obtain at times. I am interested to know what equipment is needed to do this by telepsychiatry, what is the cost, and can we get a short written assessment of the student&#039;s safety to return to campus life.

Thanks,
Carolyn Osborn
