West Texas Centers Partners with JSA Health
West Texas Centers for Mental Health and Mental Retardation (WTCMHMR) has turned to JSA Health to perform psychiatric emergency evaluations at 13 clinics across 25,000 square miles of west Texas. WTCMHMR will now be able to deliver high quality psychiatric evaluations for mental health consumers in crisis as part of the Texas Crisis Redesign Initiative.
JSA Health will be able to provide rapid evaluation and treatment via telemedicine, allowing the use of least restrictive interventions and initiation of psychiatric medications, thus allowing consumers to return to community settings and avoid unnecessary hospitalization. JSA Health staff will also work to ensure that consumers who need hospitalization are rapidly stabilized for safe transport to the hospital.
